Data2Evidence Release Notes v0.17
Improvements
Concept Sets
-
Search accuracy on HANA has improved, and HANA-backed datasets now support hybrid search.
-
Administrators can enable or disable record count displays platform-wide via a new feature flag.
-
Concept set table columns are now sortable.
Cohort Building
-
Cohort materialization now retries automatically on transient failures, reducing manual re-runs and resolving a previously reported issue affecting larger cohort builds.
-
A default query hint improves performance on HANA-backed datasets.
-
Two new chart types support distribution analysis: an overlapping histogram, for comparing distributions across cohort groups in a single view, and a Kernel Density (KDE) plot, which renders a smoothed probability density curve for continuous variables. Both persist per bookmark, so preferred views carry across sessions.
- In addition to the bar chart view, a new person list view enables tabular viewing of Patient ID, Age, Sex, Race, Ethnicity and downloading cohorts with up to two million patients.
-
A new attrition plot shows how the patient population narrows at each inclusion and exclusion criterion, useful for validating cohort logic and communicating study design to collaborators.
-
Patient-list limits are now configurable per dataset in CDM Config, enabling small-cell suppression.
Wizards
-
Ethnicity and race values now sync from required fields, keeping dashboard displays consistent.
-
A basic Table 1 can now be generated directly in Data2Evidence, with a new configuration dialog for selecting concept sets and variables (only available for OMOP native configurations).
Platform
-
New alert, dialog, and toast components deliver consistent feedback across the platform.
-
The login page logo can now be customized per deployment.
-
The UI now uses IBM Plex Sans for improved readability and simplified font infrastructure.
Single Sign-On
-
Microsoft Entra External ID can now be used as a sign-in provider in Data2Evidence. A new Logto connector handles the integration, enabling enterprise SSO without additional identity infrastructure.
Fixes
-
Cohort counts now display with thousand separators throughout the UI.
-
The “Open Dashboard” button has been renamed “Analyze” in preparation for upcoming design rework.
-
Patient lists now default to sorting by Person ID.
-
Fixed the Patient Cohort filter-card dropdown occasionally failing to open.
-
Fixed a mismatch between materialized cohort counts and their bar chart.
-
Fixed an empty CSV / error toast during file export.
-
Fixed overlapping legends in chart exports.
-
Fixed the Wizards save button not revalidating after a cohort name change.
