StatFest 2020 | Virtual | September 18-19, 2020

StatFest is a conference aimed at encouraging undergraduate students who are members of historically underrepresented groups to pursue careers and graduate studies in the statistical sciences. StatFest 2020 will be held virtually on September 18 and 19, 2020. StatFest includes presentations from established professionals, academic leaders, and current graduate students that will help attendees understand the opportunities and routes for success in the field. Panel forums provide information and tips for a rewarding graduate student experience, achieving success as an academic statistician, opportunities in the private and government arenas, among other topics. The Center for Scientific Diversity at ISMMS would like to congratulate our Graduate Research Assistant, Steven Lawrence, for being invited to share his experiences as a graduate student in biostatistics on a “Graduate School Success” panel at StatFest.
