Matteo Gianeselli earned his MD from the University of Pavia, Italy, graduating in 2023. During his doctoral research in the lab of Dr. Silvia Priori, he focused on developing gene therapy approaches for inherited cardiac arrhythmias. During the same year, he joined the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and the Swirski Lab as a PhD student in Immunology. He is interested in exploring how brain circuits regulate peripheral immune processes such as hematopoiesis. Outside the lab, Matteo enjoys running and rock climbing—though his progress in both remains an ongoing experiment with mixed results.
