Maya Weissy, BS

Master’s Student

Maya is a Master’s student in Biomedical Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware in 2024, with concentrations in Cellular & Molecular Biology and Genetics.

Currently, she is conducting research in the field of cancer immunotherapy, focusing on head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Her work involves the preclinical evaluation of a novel trispecific antibody designed to simultaneously activate NK and T cells to enhance anti-tumor responses.

Her long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in biomedical sciences, where she can further explore the intersection of molecular immunology and cancer biology. She is particularly passionate about contributing to research that bridges basic science with clinical application to drive the next generation of targeted cancer therapies.
