Research Interests
Innate immune responses are the first barrier of defense against viral infections. The induction of type I and III IFN is a critical step to provide an antiviral state and limit viral replication in the host. My work focuses on the host immune response to viral infections. Specifically, type I and III IFN responses using  in vitro and in vivo models as well as the role of certain IFN-stimulated genes to clear the infection against several viruses, including Influenza virus, SARS-CoV-2 or West Nile Virus. Understanding the mechanisms underlying these virus-host interactions, would allow identifying new antiviral targets and the development of vaccines
