As an emerging investigator, you have started on an inspired adventure and important journey.

This well traveled road can be filled with opportunity, excitement, serendipity and reward but can also present you with potential challenges, distractions and detours.

This website has been developed for students, post-docs, residents, fellows and anyone else involved or interested in early career research at Mount Sinai. It will provide you with some of the needed resources and academic toolkits that are reflective of best practice, to help you to navigate the academic landscape as you move from a Mentored to an Independent Investigator.

This site is also meant to facilitate conversation, cross talk and networking among you and your colleagues at an early stage of career development, from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. We hope to encourage meaningful connections, enhance the scope of research practice and encourage you to create a Community of EMERGING INVESTIGATORS.
