8/14/2026 NIH R01 Awarded. We are excited to share that the lab has received an NIH/NIDDK R01 to test a simple question: can navy beans, worked into everyday eating, change the course of liver disease? The randomized crossover trial will enroll adults with MASLD and combine liver imaging with microbiome and multi-omics analyses to understand how dietary fiber and food matrix shape the gut–liver axis.
