| Nicole M. Bouvier, M.D.

Nicole M. Bouvier, M.D., graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in Studio Art and completed her premedical coursework at Columbia University.  She received her Doctor of Medicine degree with Distinction in Research from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2004 and completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital from 2004 to 2007.

From 2007 to 2009, Dr. Bouvier was a post-doctoral fellow in the Physician-Scientist Research Training Program in the Pathogenesis of Viral Diseases in the laboratory of Peter Palese at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she began to study the transmission of oseltamivir-resistant influenza A viruses in the guinea pig model.  She completed her clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine between 2009 and 2011.  She was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology in 2010 and in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases in 2011.

In addition to research, Dr. Bouvier is a practicing physician and serves as a teaching attending on the General Infectious Diseases consult service at the Mount Sinai Hospital.
