Watanabe lab is looking to fill a post-doctoral fellowship position in lung cancer epigenomics.
The goal of the project for this position is to uncover biological significance of lineage regulation in different subtypes of lung cancer, and more generally, the connection between differentiation, and oncogenic transformation and lineage maintenance in lung cancers. The position offers many opportunities for career development and scientific networking and collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will have obtained a doctoral degree or equivalent qualification within two years in relevant biological sciences. A solid knowledge in cell culture, molecular biology, epigenetics and cancer biology is desired. Although not required, preference is given to a candidate with experience in single-cell genomics and/or epigenomic analyses.
The ideal applicant will be a highly motivated scientist who has desire to contribute to an active and innovative research program. The successful candidates will have demonstrated the ability to work independently and creatively.(S)he should have excellent communications skills and be able to articulate clearly the scientific and technical needs, set clear goals and work within an interdisciplinary setting, communicating with other partners within the collaborations.
