The Figure above represents Mock- and AD169IE2-YFP-infected MRC5 cells (MOI of 3) stained with Hoechst reagent (blue) and analyzed by fluorescent microscopy (magnification, x20). The Hoechst reagent signal localized exclusively to the nucleus. The IE2-YFP signal localized exclusively to the nucleus in infected cells but not Mock cells. The bottom panels are the merged images of stained cells.
