Welcome to Song Lab. The Song Lab at Icahn school of medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS), led by Associate Professor Won-Min Song, develops novel network modeling methods to analyze large-scale multi-omics data, generated from human cohorts to individual cells from complex genetic diseases. Jointly working with Dr. Bin Zhang, the Director of the Mount Sinai Center for Transformative Disease Modeling at ISMMS, our work has elucidated new insights and mechanisms in complex diseases including:
- cancers (melanoma: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-021-21457-0, gastric: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ijc.32643, liver: https://www.cell.com/cancer-cell/fulltext/S1535-6108(16)30546-3),
- asthma (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160412018317215),
- neurodegenerative diseases (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0896627320308618).
Hiring Opportunities
We are looking for another postdoc to join the lab. We are interested in candidates who can utilize single-cell genomics, spatially resolved molecular data, and multi-omics bulk sequencing data to perform integrative modeling of complex genetic diseases. Preferably, you have been trained in bioinformatics and single-cell genomics, and can work autonomously. The disease field includes: cancer and viral infections (COVID-19 and Flu).
Please send your CV, letter of intent, two recommendation letters to won-min.song@mssm.edu.
