The Volunteer Services program within Dr. Li’s Lab is located at the Department of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The volunteer program is an opportunity to gain experience in standardized dementia evaluation, with a particular focus on neuropsychological assessment in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) at this time. The training experience may involve an introduction to the purposes and uses of neuropsychological evaluation, including administration, scoring, and interpretation of cognitive testing. Tasks range from clerical and administrative responsibilities, including data management, to human research participant contact, observing testing, and interviews. Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with manuscript and poster preparation. In addition, didactic seminars and lectures are an optional part of the training experience.
