About us

Dr. Wang’s laboratory conducts research on drug discovery for neurological and psychiatric disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and depression, with the final goal of translating preclinical findings into clinical applications. These conditions are characterized by complex interrelated biological and pathological processes and are strongly influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. Our research focuses on dissecting the pathogenic mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of these conditions and on identifying potential preventative and therapeutic interventions targeting these mechanisms. For complex disease conditions, we strongly believe that simultaneously targeting multiple disease mechanisms will increase the likelihood of clinical success.
