Vestibulo-autonomic pathways

[wds id=”2″]
We are currently conducting studies seeking to identify the anatomical pathways, synaptology and neurotransmitter systems involved in mediating vestibulo-autonomic interactions and the pathophysiology underlying vestibulo-autonomic disorders such as orthostatic hypotension. Data from these studies will provide a basis for the development of evidence-based pharmacotherapeutics for vestibulo-autonomic disorders as well as the development of more specific anti-hypertensive medications that do not elicit disabling vestibular side-effects such as dizziness and vertigo.
