Zhihong (Z) received a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from China Pharmaceutical University in Nanjing, China, and a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Canada. He completed postdoctoral training at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. His research focuses on innate immunity in various CNS diseases. Zhihong has broad expertise in Neurosciences and Immunology and applies cutting-edge technologies such as 3D electron microscopy, multiphoton microscopy, FACS, and laser-capture microdissection in addressing his scientific questions. His current work in the lab investigates how peripheral monocytes and CNS microglia differentially contribute to glioblastoma development in relevance to different GBM subtypes.
