Juan Arriaga, PhD. (Principal Investigator)

Juan is Assistant Professor at the Departments of Oncological Sciences and Urology. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina and obtained his Ph.D from the same institution while working at the CIO-FUCA and Leloir Institutes. Juan completed his postdoctoral training at Columbia University Medical Center.

Eugenia Pogodin (Master’s Student)

Eve received a Bachelor degree from CUNY Hunter College, majoring in human biology and biological sciences. She is now doing a Master of Science in Biomedical Science (MSBS) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Welcome Eve!

 

Anindita Dutta, PhD. (Postdoctoral Fellow)

Anindita did her Bachelor of Science at Vidyasagar University and her Master’s at the University of Calcutta, both in Botany. She then obtained her Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University  studying the role of PICH, an ATP dependent chromatin remodeling protein in oxidative stress response. Welcome Anindita!

 

 

 

Houssein Chhouri, PhD. (Postdoctoral Fellow)

Houssein received a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a Masters in Cell Biology and in Genomics and Health, all from Lebanese University in Lebanon. He completed his Ph.D in Molecular Biology at the University of Rouen, France where he developed high-throughput barcode screens to identify the mechanism of action of anticancer drugs. Welcome Houssein!

 

Daoud Rahman. (Associate Researcher)

Daoud received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters in Biology from St John’s University in New York, developing genetically encoded sensors in cell lines. Welcome Daoud!
