We examine the biological, neurobiological, and psychological factors involved in trauma, including its intergenerational transmission and impact on diverse populations. Spanning clinical, molecular, and neurobiological studies, our work has included groundbreaking research with combat veterans, Holocaust survivors and their descendants, 9/11 responders, and survivors of sexual assault. In partnership with the James J. Peters VA and the Icahn School of Medicine, we aim to better understand trauma’s complex effects and develop effective, evidence-based strategies to reduce suffering and support long-term healing.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_button button_url=”https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=YZ3odw9XsEO55GNPRi40uPj0KoaJKNNEnTHrePhIfqtURUVNV05FMTZaMVVWWlNaWUdRQjJBNTRBNy4u” url_new_window=”on” button_text=”Research Participation Form” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” custom_button=”on” button_text_color=”#FFFFFF” button_bg_color=”#DA0BC2″ button_border_width=”13px” button_border_color=”RGBA(0,0,0,0)” button_border_radius=”0px” box_shadow_style=”preset4″ global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_button][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” background_image=”https://labs.icahn.mssm.edu/yehudalab2/wp-content/uploads/sites/551/2022/12/9-alt.png” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” header_text_align=”center” header_text_shadow_style=”preset5″ global_colors_info=”{}”]

ACTIVE PSYCHEDELIC-ASSISTED THERAPY STUDIES

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_toggle title=”Dose Optimization of MDMA-Assisted Therapy for PTSD in Veterans– Recruiting” admin_label=”Toggle” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” title_text_color=”#FFFFFF” title_level=”h3″ body_text_color=”#FFFFFF” background_color=”#00AEEF” link_option_url=”https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT06418178?term=Dose%20Optimization%20of%20MDMA-Assisted%20Therapy%20for%20PTSD&rank=1″ link_option_url_new_window=”on” box_shadow_style=”preset4″ text_shadow_style=”preset4″ global_colors_info=”{}”]

This clinical trial is designed to evaluate the optimal number of MDMA-assisted therapy cycles for the treatment of PTSD in U.S. military veterans.
