Meg completed her undergraduate degree in English on a premedical track from Cornell University in 2021. Between 2021-2023, she worked as a Research Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Jue Chen at The Rockefeller University, where she worked on the structural and biochemical characterization of both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell membrane proteins. In 2023, she worked as a Research Associate II in the laboratory of Dr. Ari Melnick at Weill Cornell Medical College, where she performed flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting experiments on murine samples implicated in germinal center B-cell-type lymphomas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She then joined the White Lab as a Research Associate II, where she performs both in-vitro and in-vivo. Her area of focus is flaviviruses, primarily those contributing to viral hemorrhagic fever (VHFs) in humans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meg intends to earn an M.D. and hopes to integrate science into her clinical practice. When she is not in the lab, she is likely chasing her puppy around, needlepointing canvases for friends, and brewing her eighth cup of coffee for the day (so far).<\/span><\/p>\n

Romel worked previously in both the laboratories of Dr. Kris White and Dr. Adolfo Garcia-Sastre at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is currently working in the laboratory of Dr. at Scripps Institute.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the White Lab, his area of focus was MERS. In 2024, Mario left the White Lab in pursuit of graduate school. He is now a PhD candidate at The University of Rochester.<\/span><\/p>\n
