Wolfram Poller, MD<\/strong> Wolfram Poller obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Charit\u00e9 University Hospital in Berlin, Germany in 2011. His doctoral thesis (summa cum laude, 2012) investigated reward circuitries in the brain and identified the lateral habenula as an important crossroad between homeostatic areas and reward circuitries. He was trained in general and interventional cardiology at Charit\u00e9 University Hospital and received his board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in 2017. During his clinical training, he investigated cardiovascular diseases ranging from clinical studies in patients with heart rhythm and blood lipid disorders to experimental mouse studies of magnetic nanoparticle imaging of atherosclerotic plaques. Wolfram Poller joined the Swirski laboratory back at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2018 and receives a Research Fellowship from the German Research Foundation (DFG).
