\nMiho Maeda is an Associate Researcher who has been working in the Division of Liver Diseases since 2016. She graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology (2009). She obtained her MS in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware in 2012. She recently graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing. \nMiguel graduated from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Biochemistry (2011) and an MSc in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (2012). He obtained his PhD at the Autonomous University of Madrid (2019). He then joined Daniela Sia\u2019s lab in the Division of Liver Diseases at ISMMS in 2020. He is interested in understanding the role of the tumor immune microenvironment (TME) in promoting the development and progression of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. He is currently a Margaret M. Brown Memorial Research Fellow, awarded from the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/labs.icahn.mssm.edu\/sialab\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/339\/2021\/07\/Emily-bio-pic-resized-221x300.jpg\")

\nEmily graduated from Lindenwood University in St. Louis, MO with a BS in cellular and molecular biology. She then worked as a research technician at Washington University before starting her PhD at ISMMS in the fall of 2020. In the Sia lab, she is studying a novel immune checkpoint molecule and its role in tumor growth and shaping the iCCA tumor microenvironment.<\/p>\n
