She joined the lab in January 2009 as a postdoctoral fellow. Laura worked to establish novel Cre tools to target Dermal Papilla niche cells during hair morphogenesis and tested the role of Enpp2. After leaving in 2013, she had rejoined the lab as a Senior Scientist from 2017-2021. She had joined the lab for her Ph.D. work in April 2017. Pieter was interested in Dermal Sheath functions as signaling niche during the hair cycle. He joined the lab in September 2014. Ka Wai was interested in defining the molecular controls of DP fate acquisition during the developmental transition from fibroblasts into dermal condensates. After a short postdoc at the University Leuven, Belgium, he had joined the lab in Fall 2008. Carlos&#8217;s research focused on the transcriptional control of the hair inducing fate of Dermal Papilla niche cells. Su-Yi was the first PhD student in the lab. Her focus was on pluripotency reprogramming of DP cells and on Wnt signalling in hair formation. She defended her thesis and graduated in April 2011.
