Our Research Group has a specific interest in adolescent psychopathology, especially focusing on eating disorders. Dr. Nadia Micali leads our team of students and researchers.
Our current research interests include the aetiology and epidemiology of eating disorders, the transgenerational pattern of transmission of eating disorders, as well as the role of genetic and environmental risk factors for eating disorders.
We are conducting a number of Research Studies at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NYC, which involve investigating thoughts, behaviors and the brain structure of women with eating disorders, and how these can change in response to novel treatment methods.
