In order to fix this issue, we will be changing one of the SSH host keys on the Minerva login nodes\u00a0at 1:00 PM on July 26.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After the change, you may still see the same error message for one more\u00a0time\u00a0when you login to Minerva via SSH. If you see a failure message containing the line &#8220;WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED!&#8221;, please rename (or edit\/delete) your SSH known_hosts file\u00a0<strong>on your local computer<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>For example:<\/p>\n<p><strong>On a Mac or Linux machine:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>mv ~\/.ssh\/known_hosts ~\/.ssh\/known_hosts.old<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Window PuTTY users\u00a0<\/strong>and more information on updating your host key file, please visit the guide at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/help.dreamhost.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/217239087-Updating-host-keys\">https:\/\/help.dreamhost.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/217239087-Updating-host-keys<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The next time you connect to Minerva via SSH, you will be prompted to accept the new key and you should not see the failure message again in future.\u00a0We apologize for the inconvenience.\u00a0If you have any question on this, please send us a ticket at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hpchelp@hpc.mssm.edu\">hpchelp@hpc.mssm.edu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some of you experienced the failure\u00a0&#8220;WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED&#8221; frequently when you try to login to Minerva by\u00a0ssh userid@minerva.hpc.edu.
