{"id":1147,"date":"2020-03-06T15:44:03","date_gmt":"2020-03-06T20:44:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/labs.icahn.mssm.edu\/minervalab\/?p=1147"},"modified":"2021-07-01T12:24:19","modified_gmt":"2021-07-01T16:24:19","slug":"minerva-weekly-update-march-6th-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/labs.icahn.mssm.edu\/minervalab\/minerva-weekly-update-march-6th-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Minerva Weekly Update: March 6th 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Minerva users,<\/p>\n<p>We would like to update you with the recent progress and plans we have on Minerva GPFS filesystems.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #221f72\"><b>1.<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0<b>New file system\u00a0<\/b><\/span><b><span style=\"color: #221f72\">Arion installation is complete, adding 10\u00a0PB of usable storage to Minerva!!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"color: #221f72\">2.\u00a0 AFM data migration from \/sc\/orga\u00a0to \/sc\/arion\u00a0is in progress.<\/span><span id=\"x_docs-internal-guid-14adc313-7fff-5b9c-d574-3c681cc2bc48\"><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The AFM data\u00a0migration\u00a0is set up and on-going\u00a0in the background.\u00a0We expect this process to be 1-2 months.<\/li>\n<li>When most of the data is migrated, a PM will be scheduled to unmount Orga and mount Arion.<\/li>\n<li><span id=\"x_docs-internal-guid-ea225bdf-7fff-0702-dfaa-30ce74010806\">After PM, \/sc\/hydra and \/sc\/arion will become the primary storage. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #221f72\"><b>3.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b>Hydra storage is 87% full.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>To keep the stable performance of Hydra (usage should be\u00a0&lt; 90%),\u00a0\u00a0we would like to ask for\u00a0your\u00a0help\u00a0before we can add more storage component to Hydra:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If you have projects that are\u00a0available on both Hydra and Orga, please use Orga.
