Step 2:\u00a0Obtain Mount Sinai IRB approval for your Research\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

You will need to draft an individual IRB protocol for your project. You can find out more about the compliance requirements by visiting this page: Compliance Overview: HIPAA and Institutional Review Board Requirements | Scientific Computing and Data<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Access to PHI via AIR\u00b7MS requires an IRB-approved protocol detailing the scope of AIR\u00b7MS utilization. You can reference AIR\u00b7MS in your protocol as follows- for instance, \u201cwe will use the AIR\u00b7MS platform (IRB # 20-01288) to access and store our data.\u201d
Remember to attach a copy of your approved protocol with your access request. Failure to do so may result in your submission being denied.
