An email will go out to PIs in Sailpoint\u00a0<strong>21 days <\/strong>before the expiration date directing them to log into Sailpoint to extend (or deny) the network\/VPN account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions for how to request Mount Sinai school VPN\u00a0 for\u00a0<u>collaborators (Non-Mount Sinai Users)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PI&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0need to Create an External Researcher Identity following instructions at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mshsintranet.mountsinai.org\/DTP\/Create_a_Non-Employee\/\">https:\/\/mshsintranet.mountsinai.org\/DTP\/Create_a_Non-Employee\/<\/a>. Choose &#8220;Minerva Restricted User&#8221; as the School Department.<\/li>\n<li><strong>PI&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>need to proceed to &#8216;Request Access&#8217; for\u00a0<strong>school VPN Tunnel <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Azure MFA\u00a0Registration<\/strong>, following instructions at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mshsintranet.mountsinai.org\/DTP\/Sailpoint_Application_Access\/\">https:\/\/mshsintranet.mountsinai.org\/DTP\/Sailpoint_Application_Access\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For the convenience of authentication on Azure MFA, <strong>users<\/strong> may self register and manage the passwordless sign-in method of Microsoft Authenticator via <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/mfasetup\">https:\/\/aka.ms\/mfasetup<\/a>\u00a0(VPN or campus connection required).<\/li>\n<li>You (<em>collaborators)\u00a0<\/em>can proceed to login to the VPN at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/itsecurity.mssm.edu\/vpn-instructions\/owa\/vpn-step-2\/\">https:\/\/itsecurity.mssm.edu\/vpn-instructions\/owa\/vpn-step-2\/<\/a> (more detail provided at: <a href=\"https:\/\/itsecurity.mssm.edu\/\">https:\/\/itsecurity.mssm.edu\/<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Once your account is granted, you can log in to the cluster using your school-account password and multi-factor authentication:\n<ul>\n<li><b>Command<\/b>: Use the following syntax in your terminal:<br \/>\n<blockquote>\n<pre><code>ssh your_Minerva_userid@minerva.hpc.mssm.edu<\/code><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Authentication<\/b>: * Enter your <b>school account password<\/b> when prompted.\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the <b>Azure MFA<\/b> authentication using your preferred method (Microsoft Authenticator push notification, one-time code, or SMS).<\/li>\n<li>More information: <a href=\"https:\/\/labs.icahn.mssm.edu\/minervalab\/documentation\/logging-in\">Minerva Login<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>New Users<\/b>: If you do not yet have a Minerva account, you must first apply for one at the <a href=\"https:\/\/acctreq.hpc.mssm.edu\/\">Minerva Account Request portal<\/a> using the Mount Sinai ID provided by your PI.
