The\u00a0Institute for Exposomic Research<\/a>\u00a0is the nucleus of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai\u2019s research on environmental exposures\u00a0and their impact on human health.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Senator Frank R. Lautenberg Environmental Health Sciences Laboratory<\/strong>, co-located with the Laboratory for Innovation in Exposomic Precision Medicine<\/strong> in the Atran Building, shares an approximately 15,000-square-foot facility with 10,000 square feet of bench space.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Physiological Assessment of Children\u2019s Environmental Risk (PACER) Laboratory<\/strong>, established in 2012 by Rosalind Wright, MD, MPH, is focused on the assessment of key regulatory biological response systems in pregnant women, infants, and children.<\/p>\n

Connect cutting-edge epigenetic marks to chemical exposure to better understand how chemicals \u201cprogram\u201d health trajectories that underlie why some childhood exposures lay dormant for years and then cause disease in adulthood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Develop new exposure biomarkers to facilitate more accurate understanding of the timing, duration, and dose of toxic exposures that may have occurred years previously.<\/span><\/p>\n
