Jeffrey Johnson joined the Microbiology department at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in August 2019. He has worked in mass spectrometry labs since he was 20 years old and he could not be more excited to build a mass spectrometry lab of his own. Jeffrey earned his B.S. degrees in Biochemistry and Bioengineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he earned his Ph.D. in Biology from The Scripps Research Institute, did a brief postdoc at Genentech, Inc., and then served as a mass spectrometry lab director at the Gladstone Institutes and the University of California San Francisco.
