We found that the expressions of osmosensitive and mechanosensation channels are possible targets regulating the intervertebral disc cell and matrix behavior in-vivo. Positive result can provide useful information for the improvement of disc function.<br \/>\nAlso, my laboratory is working in discerning the effects of exogenous advanced glycation end-product on the micro structure of bone with age and sex. Advanced glycation end-product are non enzymatic glycations that affect the bone quality and quantity making the organ more prone to fracture. Answering this scientific question will provide insight into biologics affecting bone mechanical competence with obesity and diabetes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Future Plans<\/strong><br \/>\nI&#8217;m interested in medical research that translates scientific innovation to clinical practice. I am interested in all aspects of orthopedics but concentrated mainly in bone and intervertebral disc mechano sensation, phenotyping and mechanical behavior.
