In particular, we are not able to consider short-term or summer positions, or positions for high school students. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Examples of the types of positions in the lab:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Postdoctoral Fellow in PET and MRI<\/strong><br \/>\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual eager to acquire new skills in a dynamic environment for a postdoctoral fellow position. The primary project involves PET imaging in preclinical Alzheimer\u2019s disease and the integration of PET and MR techniques. Previous training in PET, functional connectivity MRI, or diffusion-weighted MRI is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in PET or MR imaging and analysis and a willingness to explore and develop new analytic methods for multi-modality imaging analysis.<\/p>\n<p><em>Responsibilities<\/em>: The successful applicant will be responsible for data acquisition on PET\/MRI scanners at the Translational &amp; Molecular Imaging Institute at Mount Sinai, image analysis and statistical modeling, development of analytic techniques, and integration of PET, functional connectivity MRI, and diffusion MRI data with other imaging modalities. The direct supervisor will be Trey Hedden, PhD, with opportunities to interact with others in Mount Sinai Alzheimer\u2019s Disease and neuroimaging research communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Programmer<\/strong><br \/>\nThe primary responsibility for the position is development and implementation of image data processing piplelines for PET and MRI data collected from cognitively normal older adults and patients with mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer\u2019s disease, and other neurodegenerative diseases. The position will involve 1) coordination and integration of databases to store and manage different data types, 2) development of processing pipelines for analysis of neuroimaging data (PET and MRI), 3) coding analytic procedures, and 4) serving as an interface between researchers and the infrastructure provided by Scientific Computing at Mount Sinai. The direct supervisor is Dr. Trey Hedden, but the position offers exposure to multiple lab groups that employ different methodological techniques. The position requires a high degree of motivation and self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n<p><em>Requirements: <\/em><br \/>\n-M.S. or equivalent with a background in computer science, engineering, neuroscience, or a related field (B.S. or B.A. candidates with demonstrated experience will be considered)<br \/>\n-High-level programming expertise in one or more languages and in MATLAB, Python, SQL, and\/or R<br \/>\n-Excellent communication and writing skills, organizational and planning skills<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clinical Research Coordinator I<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Clinical Research Coordinator assists in the daily activities of clinical research studies, obtains informed consent; collects, maintains and organizes study information. Assists in preparing grant applications and documents (for e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office).<br \/>\n-Collects and records study data. Inputs all information into database<br \/>\n-Obtains informed consent under minimal supervision of the investigator(s) and educates participants regarding study requirements<br \/>\n-Assists in the activities related to clinical research studies including but not limited to: answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility, registering subjects with sponsoring agency, administering lifestyle questionnaires<br \/>\n-Assists in preparing grant applications, IRB\/GCO for submission and filings<br \/>\n-Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures<br \/>\n-Ensures accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews<\/p>\n<p><em>Requirements<\/em><br \/>\n-Bachelor\u2019s in Science or closely related field<br \/>\n-Excellent written and oral communication skills<br \/>\n-Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faculty Position in Alzheimer\u2019s disease Biomarkers, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Department of Neurology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York is seeking to hire an MD or MD\/PhD at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to lead a research program focused on fluid biomarkers or PET imaging of Alzheimer\u2019s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will have a track record of publications, research funding, collaboration, and technical expertise in the application of fluid or PET biomarkers to Alzheimer\u2019s disease research. The candidate\u2019s research program will be expected to contribute to the Biomarker Core of the Alzheimer\u2019s Disease Research Center at Mount Sinai, and will interface with researchers in the Loeb Center for Alzheimer\u2019s Disease, the Biomedical Engineering and&nbsp; Imaging Institute, and the Departments of Neurology, Radiology, and Neuroscience more broadly.
