Biography

Matthew Gluck is a Associate Researcher at Mount Sinai Hospital in the department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Mr. Gluck graduated from the University of Michigan in 2016 with Bachelor’s Degree in neuroscience with a minor in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine in Society. After his time in Ann Arbor, Mr. Gluck joined the upper extremity and nerve lab under the leadership of Drs. Michael Hausman and Paul Cagle. While at Mount Sinai, Mr. Gluck has also continued his education in pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Mr. Gluck is expected to receive his degree in the Winter of 2018 at which point he hopes to continue his training in medical school. In his current position, Mr. Gluck is involved in all facets of research including grant writing and lab management as well as mentoring several graduate and undergraduate students.

Research Topics

Mr. Gluck’s research is focused on both hand, wrist and elbow biomechanical studies, as well as novel imaging methods for biologic tissue visualization and assessment of nerve damage and function.
