Michelle\u2019s research interests include identifying specific neural circuits mediating social behavior and perturbing these circuits to modulate behavior in rodent models. Her current project focuses on the effects of social isolation on social reward behavior and reward circuitry. Before pursuing her PhD at Mount Sinai, she worked as a research technician at UNC-Chapel Hill in the labs of Dr. Thomas Kash and Dr. Clyde Hodge where she conducted research in molecular mechanisms of ethanol consumption and feeding behavior in mice.<\/p>\n
