He received a Ph.D. fellowship from the Argentinian National Scientific and Technical Research Council and obtained his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Buenos Aires University. As part of his postgraduate training, he visited The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at the University of Miami, supported by a Fullbrigth award. He has vast experience in teaching at different education levels. Gonzalo has studied the interaction between the immune system and the peripheral nervous system combining\u00a0<i>in vivo<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>in vitro<\/i>\u00a0approaches and various molecular biology techniques. She followed her studies by performing her master\u2019s degree at Vall d\u2019Hebr\u00f3n Institut de Recerca &#8211; Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (VHIR-UAB). She received a Ph.D. fellowship from the University of Navarra (ADA) and obtained her international Ph.D. at the University of Navarra. During her Ph.D., she was awarded a mobility grant to perform an internship at Department of Pediatrics, Emory University School of Medicine. at Emory University in Atlanta. Her Ph.D. was focused on finding new therapeutic strategies for glioblastoma using immunovirotherapeutic approaches, including oncolytic viruses.<br \/>\nCurrently, she is working on the interaction between mismatch repair genes (MMR genes) and the resistance to temozolomide treatment in glioblastoma using GEM models of brain tumors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gonzalo received his degree in Biochemistry from Mar del Plata University in Argentina.
