My group revealed that mitochondrial shape, composition, number impact on cellular transformation and sensitivity to conventional and targeted chemotherapeutics. We actively investigate how mitochondrial stress signaling dictates cancer mechanisms (transformation, senescence, malignancy) and the immune landscape in melanomagenesis.
