Please Visit this link for updates<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Mount Sinai SCI outpatient Do-It! Program was developed in 1995 to facilitate community\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 reintegration of patients with spinal cord injuries.\u00a0 Individual therapies plus group classes are designed to maximize functional outcomes.\u00a0 The program serves individuals with SCI from the five boroughs of New York city, Long island and Westchester, and we follow a highly diverse population in terms of socioeconomic, educational and employment backgrounds.\u00a0 DO-It! is a unique and dynamic program with a holistic and integrated approach to helping people with SCI to move forward in their lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do-It! Program Groups<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mat Class:<\/strong><b>\u00a0<\/b>Patients will learn self stretching techniques, core\u00a0 stabilization, relaxation techniques, and upper body\u00a0 strengthening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spin Class:<\/strong><b>\u00a0<\/b>Ride hand cycles on trainers to get a high energy, cardiovascular workout.\u00a0 Get ready to work up a sweat!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weight Training Program:<\/strong><b>\u00a0<\/b>Strengthen your muscles and learn how to build a safe workout routine at the gym.<\/p>\n<p><b>Community Luncheon:\u00a0<\/b>Socialize and meet new people\u00a0 with SCI in a relaxed environment over lunch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lecture Series:<\/strong><b>\u00a0<\/b>Facilitated by rehabilitation professionals and community advocates. These sessions review and build on SCI\u00a0 education in both a lecture and interactive format. Learn from Rehab Professionals and community advocates on new advances in the SCI community.<\/p>\n<p><b>Wheelchair Mobility:\u00a0<\/b>Push!
