Project Summary
The COVID-19 Biobank is a multi-center research initiative that aims to characterize the immune response to COVID-19. Our objective is to define SARS-CoV-2 immune correlates associated with disease progression, severity, and the establishment of protective immunity in order to help develop effective treatments to COVID-19.
More than 900 people (both patients and volunteers) are enrolled in our Biobank, over 600 of whom were hospitalized for COVID-19 and survived.
The Biobank’s current focus is on COVID-19 “long-haulers”. Many of our patients report experiencing residual symptoms long after the typical window of recovery from COVID-19. To investigate this post-covid syndrome, we follow our patients over time.
