Postdoctoral Fellow
The Beck laboratory is seeking to hire a postdoctoral fellow. Research projects will include acquisition and analysis of advanced structural MR imaging data at 3 and 7 tesla in patients with multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases affecting the central nervous system, with a focus on lesions in the cerebral cortex, with the goal of understanding how lesion formation and repair differ in the cortex vs white matter and how these processes are related to brain atrophy, clinical course, and meningeal inflammation (evaluated using single cell transcriptomics of the cerebrospinal fluid). Research projects may also include development and validation of new MRI techniques in collaboration with researchers in the Mount Sinai Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Institute.
