_module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Electronic Health Records and Genomics<\/h3>\n<p>We leverage large-scale genomic data and electronic health records to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluate the prevalence and clinical impact of human genetic variation<\/li>\n<li>Elucidate novel genes and variants underlying human traits and disease states<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These exciting avenues of research capitalize on the diversity of the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/icahn.mssm.edu\/research\/institutes\/ipm\/programs\/biome-biobank\">Bio<em>Me<\/em> Biobank<\/a><\/strong> to understand variant frequencies in different populations, as well as \u00a0clinical data Bio<em>Me<\/em> participants to evaluate penetrance and phenotypic spectrums.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Genomic Screening in Diverse Populations<\/h3>\n<p>We return results for medically actionable genomic conditions to Bio<em>Me<\/em> Biobank\u00a0participants in order to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluate the clinical utility of population-based genomic screening<\/li>\n<li>Scale the implementation of genomic medicine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column_inner][et_pb_column_inner type=&#8221;1_2&#8243;
