Kohei is a postdoctoral fellow in the tenOever lab. He did his bachelor degree in the field of Engineering at the University of Osaka, and completed his Ph.D. studies in the laboratory of Yoshihiro Kawaoka at the University of Tokyo in Japan. His Ph.D. research focused on the characterization of the influenza A virus protein PA-X, which plays a role in the shutoff activity that suppresses host protein expression.
